about
Hey! My name is Pranav Vyas. I am currently a graduate student researcher currelty working with Dr. Manu Prakash in the Prakash Lab at Bioengineering Department, Stanford University. I am broadly interested in understanding the evolution and maintenance of structures and processes at all scales in living systems. At Stanford, I have been working on two non-model multicellular systems to understand the role of multicellular collaboration in the morphogenesis of branched and amorphous finite systems.
Before coming to Stanford, I completed my BT-MT Dual Degree in Mechanical Engineering from Indian Institute of Technology Kanpur where I worked with Dr. Sovan Das (Soft Matter), Dr. Anupam Saxena (Robotics) and Dr. Amitabha Bandyopadhyay (Developmental Biology).
I grew up in the beautiful town of Udaipur in Rajasthan, India whose strong cultural influence has helped me develop interests in music and photography.
